Call for papers

Eco-friendly, in the context of ICECCS 2015, refers to energy-efficient and environment-friendly aspects of computing and communication,(green IT or ICT) for sustainable growth. In other words, it refers to environmentally sustainable growth in computing and communication or ICT. Therefore, the theme for this ICECCS 2015 conference is “Computing and Communication for Sustainable Development". Some might refer it also to ‘green’ computing and communication, or, green ICT.
Green computing is one of the emerging technologies that have garnered special attention. Green technologies in general are aimed at reducing the carbon emission to the atmosphere. These green technologies primarily focus on the environmental-friendly aspect of a product rather than focussing more on business aspect. Green computing is one of the components of green technologies which deal with the computing practices that are aimed at reducing carbon emission to the atmosphere, either directly or indirectly. This is sometimes called as energy efficient computing and is aimed at creating a sustainable technology. In recent years, the computing industry too, has come to realize that going green is in their best interest, both in terms of reducing costs and environment friendly. The research in this area is also requiring more attention towards providing better solutions. Green ICT is one of the major focus and attention of not only environmental organizations, but also businesses industries. In recent years, the computing industry too, has come to realize that going green is in their best interest, both in terms of reducing costs and environment friendly. The research in this area is also requiring more attention towards providing better solutions.
ICECCS 2015 will provide a forum for presenting and discussing innovative research on a broad range of topics in the fields of sustainable and energy-efficient computing, and computing for a more sustainable planet. The conference will hold a technical program, panels, workshops, and tutorials on these topics. ICECCS 2015 will be technically co-sponsored by the IEEE, and the proceedings will be published by Elsevier Procedia Computer Science and the publication will be made available on in perpetuity with a free access to the worldwide audience. Elsevier Procedia Series is Scopus and CPCI indexed and publishes high-quality papers from leading conferences.
